Excellent backpack, no issues from purchase.
I absolutely love the backpack, good quality material, distributes the weight very well. Using it for couple day hikes, comfortable and breathable had enough room for all kit, great product and would recommend for others.

Great backpack, have some questions to the quality and the customer service
I like the backpack - perfect for an extended weekend. Also like the material quality. But during the first trip (not even a month since I purchased the backpack) one of the buckles got de-attached from a strap, most likely this part was just poorly assembled. Customer service offered me to fix it by myself and refused to change the product. After a dispute I fixed it by myself, but it required to damage the rail with pilers. It's a small thing, but tells a lot about the quality of small parts, while the customer service could definitely do more.

    Very comfortable
I got the 33 litre Talon to use for long distance hiking. The bag itself is really lightweight, fits very comfortably on my back, and distributes the packed load well throughout the body. I find it perfect in terms of comfort and functionality. The only downside for me personally are the choices of colour and the use of white on straps and padding (assuming it will stain and discolour with use).

    Light & well made
I purchased the Talon 33 direct from osprey europe, for my sons month long trip to Indonesia, it was very well made & extremely light weight with lots of useful pockets. He found it very comfortable to wear. Unfortunately, it was a little to small for such a long trip, so we returned it and purchased the Farpoint 40, which was bigger and easier to get into, this came from a local shop. Osprey refunded the money very quickly with no questions asked. A pleasure to deal with.

    A superb lightweight walking pack
I've had this bag for a couple of years now so mine is the older back system but I really rate this as a daysack for walking / scrambling or for overnight camping trips. I did know a guy who made prototype packs for one of the other big rucsac companies who was going to make me a bag to my own spec but then I saw the Talon which was pretty much exactly what I had in mind.
I'm a convert to all the wee stretchy pockets Osprey seem to chuck all over after using them on the old Exos and use the side pockets for snacks and the like for during the day. The hip belt pockets are awesome (I never thought I'd want hip pockets until I started using them, now I can't do without them!)
The adjustable back length just works and I really like the external hydration pocket: I often use the pack for long days supervising D of E gold expeds and at the end of each day just need to replenish water and food for an early start. It is so much easier to remove, refill and repack a bladder from an external pocket rather than trying to fight it into an internal sleeve in a packed bag. This feature is my favourite tbh.
The bag weighs very little and is surprisingly robust and the 33 litre capacity will do an overnighter if I'm using a bivy bag.
I do have a couple of gripes however: firstly the fabric is not very waterproof and on a proper wet mountain day the bag will be soaked inside and out so drybags are a must (I use a rain cover too and I'd never rely on a rucsac to provide waterproofing on its own). The second gripe is the lid tends to sag down when the bag isn't totally packed out which is only a cosmetic issue but for some reason niggles me slightly. That said, the top pocket is massive and swallows all sorts of stuff I need in a hurry so I'm just being picky I guess.
The back system is less breathable than the external mesh frame bag I used before so is sweatier, but this trades off against a much more packable shape, much better stability when scrambling or on rough terrain and is much lighter.
I have bags that are better for cragging and winter climbing but for all round mountain use this is my go to pack. It is an absolute classic and when I wear this out, I'm buying another!

    Very good as expected.
A very good back pack that fits in between my other Ospreys. However, the compartment for the water tank collect and traps water. Would be a good idea to make a drain in future bags.

    Just perfect
Just completed the Camino de Santiago with the Talon 33. 7 days on the trail carrying 11kg of kit. The pack easily swallowed up; 2 pairs of shorts, 2 pairs of leggings, 4x T Shirts, spare socks and liners, sandals, wash kit, 2x lightweight towels, sleeping bag liner, spare trail scarf, small camera, knick-knacks, energy bars plus 2x 1 Litre water bottles and a 2 Litre Osprey bladder plus some odds and ends. No idea why people say this is a day pack - I cant imagine what they would need for a day. My Talon 11 is my day pack and I usually take a jet boiler in that !!! People often say the Talon packs should have a rain cover but I think they are missing the point – the Talons are a super lightweight pack for people who are moving fast and light. I find rain covers pretty useless most of the time as the rain gets down the back of any pack and gets into the gear. I only use a rain cover for day hiking when I am not carrying any critical gear – for duration/distance I prefer dry bags inside the pack which also helps to keep the gear organised and structured with different colour dry bags indicating what’s inside (dirty gear, clean gear, critical gear etc.). People also often moan about top loading drawstring type packs but if you pack sensibly with inner bags it makes perfect sense to have the pack operate like this. At your destination you just whip out all the inner bags, select what you want and then repack the rest.
I picked the Talon 33 for the Camino because it’s the maximum size you can get away with for carry-on baggage (yes I know people get away with bigger packs but airlines can refuse and be picky about such things on the day) and I knew from my other Talon packs that these would be lightweight and durable. Personally I would have preferred a framed pack for this trip and would have liked one of Ospreys AG packs but didn’t want to risk it ending up in the hold and having its frame busted - I did discuss it with Ospreys customer service advisors and they gave good advice on this – great service again from Osprey.
The Talon 33 was great – it was as comfy as anything can be with 11kg inside it, didn’t make my back too sweaty although your bound to sweat a bit in 30’ of heat when your covering miles– like my Talon 11 it dried out super fast at rest stops. It did all I wanted of it – carried all my gear with reasonable comfort and after a week out on the trail it still looks brand new. The top of the pack has a neat zipped storage space which holds an amazing amount of gear and its perfect for the stuff you need to access fast and frequently. Its got nice sleek lines and was able to carry everything inside the pack nice and securely. My only minor quibble was the compression straps that wrap around the lower edge tend to snag and need a bit of messing with to get them tight and snug. Few bits of kit are ever perfect but the Talon 33 is as good a bit of kit as I have used so far – it looks good and works well, like all Osprey kit it looks ludicrously fragile bit is actually as tough as old boots and its super lightweight – once its on and tight it moves with you very well like a shell and doesn’t exhibit any tendency to shift about and risk putting you off balance. Thanks Osprey for a great product.
