Daypacks with an intuitive design, the Skarab 30 is a simple and stylish hiking companion.

Designed for ultimate versatility, Skarab 30 features a large daypack capacity which is perfect for year-round day-long adventures. An innovative Bump-Foam backpanel provides amazing levels of comfort and ventilation, while the low-profile harness and padded hipbelt enable excellent load-transfer, even when the pack is full and heavy.

A stylish top-zip access point provides an extremely easy way of packing and unpacking the Skarab, while an external hydration sleeve lets you slide your reservoir into the pack without having to unload it first. A hidden scratch-free pocket sits above the backpanel, providing a safe place to store sunglasses, a phone or keys. Underneath the pack, a separate pocket hides the integrated and detachable raincover.

Dual hipbelt pockets enable easy access to the trail essentials such as snacks or your headtorch, while a front shove-it pocket provides a safe and fast place to store your waterproof jacket. Dual zippered side pockets are big enough for 1L water bottles. An internal mesh pocket under the lid gives an easy place to keep valuables.

With a modern external design and high-performance features, Skarab easily balances the essential features with a refreshingly clean aesthetic.

    Great backpack
Perfect backpack voor daily excursions, very comfortable, enough compartments, nice design. Both my boyfriend and I wear it, it’s easily adjustable for both of us.

    Great bag with some glitches
Pretty fond of this bag I gotta say, it’s a step up from my 26l ellipse in some ways but a step back in others - lots of room but beware the top pocket when full, it tends to press the contents a bit and push back on the top of the back support.
Also its very much a hiking bag certainly not a commute bag, pockets are large and spacious but comparatively few, so really need to be aware of what you’ll be carrying, all in all a solid hiking bag with a few caveats about mixed usage

    Brilliant backpack
Having used the pack several times since start of July, I have found it to be perfect for my needs. It holds everything I require and when strapped up correctly I’m able to even run down hill with minimum movement from the pack. I couldn’t recommend this pack highly enough! Really cannot imagine me very buying a bag from anywhere else but Osprey now!

Very good, but not for long distance hiking.
I got the 30 litre Skarab for long distance hiking. The design estetcics are good and the bag is lightweight and feels durable. I ended up returning it though, because it doesn’t have the adjustment straps up at the shoulders and because the waistbelt is a bit thinly padded, which wouldn’t have made it the best choice for my body and intended use.

Great pack for everything except long trips
Good overall pack for medium loads.
I use it regularly with my laptop and notebooks.
Also handy to carry a change of clothes etc if I'm staying somewhere for the night. It can be difficult to fit a water bottle in but that's because they are taller than I like.. The front pocket is pretty good for the water bottle. I don't really use the hip belt but that's my preference

Nice one day hike and urban backpack
    Overall a good backpack.
A lot of space and also good for carrying a laptop.
The front loading pocket would have better been suited with elastic mesh then the now side straps. It seems a bit unnecessary.
Also the side pockets are good for small waterbottels but don't suit lagers ones. As both pockets have zippers instead of an elastic holster.
