Very good pack does what it says on the tin and more
Great pack owned the pack for under a year i used for 125 mile trek over a 4 day period immediatly after purchase and used it for few days each month since, Done a lot of research about the pack before buying to 100% know the features before committing. Pros and cons, hip belt does dig in a bit however towards the end of the first trip became a lot more comfortable and after 7 months now is very comfortable to wear for 8+ hours walking, Squeaking at first especially while wet would squeak at the top of the frame however after being soaked and dried a few times seems to have eased up and now running quiet, Used for summer and winter trips with room for a few luxury's all in all very happy with product after a bit breaking in. would 100% reccomend!!!
Llevando durante 14 dias 22kilos de peso no me ha fallado en ningun momento.Todo necesario cabe dentro.Muy buena calidad!
This is the best backpack I ever had. Even with a heavy load(tent, sleeping bag & pad, stove, water and lots of food) this pack is really comfortable. The AG system does it's job really well. What makes this bag ideal for me is the mesh system which keeps my back ventilated. Definitly no regrets for buying the Aether AG 70.
Very good backpack with one design issues
I have recently used this backpack in a road trip in Norway and I loved it! I have just one concern about the backpack standing vertical when in the floor. I tried to pack my stuff in several different ways but the backpack always falls, there's no way to make it stand vertical. Osprey team, please prove me wrong and I'll be happy to give you 5 stars!
Brilliant pack, high quality and comfortable
Really good pack, comfortable and feels really well made. Sits close to your back for good stability but the mesh system keeps it all ventilated and the hip straps clamp down on your body, taking the weight of your shoulders. This pack gets a lot of criticism because people buy it for the day sack which isn't included in Europe, the rain cover seems good quality and is more useful for me.
Comfortable and durable.
The most comfortable pack I've ever had. It sits perfect on hips even for long trips. Hip belt is great, keeps pack on its place even if unbuckled (not a good idea of course to have it like that all the time, but it's great to unlock the buckle and still have this bit of time to take pack of the back instead of this instant feeling of heavy weight on arms or falling pack on the ground once the buckle is opened). Olive colour is great bonus for wildcamping. If I'd change anything it would be stripes closing backpack, those goes a bit too much on the side I believe, could be more to the centre of the pack. Hence olive colour is available, would be perfect to have it with olive or dark grey rain cover as standard). Anyway, great stuff and best I've had ever since. Thank you!
Very good backpack with two small design issues.
I have the European version of the backpack with the rain cover. The rain cover is the first design issue I would like to change. The cover is on the top of the pack so you need to pull it down top to bottom. Any time you need something you need to remove the cover completely to get into the pack, meaning you backpack stand on the wet and maybe dirty ground and the whole backpack gets wet. Other backpacks have the cover at the bottom. In that case you can just remove the rein cover just from the top and the rest is still covered.
The second design detail is the closing straps. They are located fairly far on the outside, sometimes it's a bit hard to place the lid correctly on the top to cover the pack.
Besides this the backpack is very good. I used it on a 6 day skitour trip in Lappland and I was very satisfied. The backpack sits tight on the back so it's not a problem to ski. Carrying 17 to 18 kilo is no problem at all. I assume packing more than 20kg should be fine as well. Overall I'm very satisfied. Without the two issues describe above I would rate it a 5 star.
No day pack and it squeaks!
I ordered the Osprey AG 70 in early 2017 after seeing many favourable reviews by hiking and backpacking bloggers. I love the compression and the adjustability of the pack, the AG system really does feel like it make a difference in carrying heavy loads. I was disappointed to realise my pack did not come with a removable daypack, rather what i can only describe as an unwieldy bum bag, which requires you to remove the hip belt to wear properly and is just a bit of a faff really. This i feel was not made clear when buying the pack (ok i bought it from Blacks and not through Osprey). I just tend to leave the lid at home now unless going for 3/4 nights or more as its quite redundant on short trips and is just a bit of a pain on longer ones. Having become sanguine about the daypack/lid issue the pack has another issue which is highly frustrating, with every step i take the movement of the pack materiel over the frame makes an irritating squeaking noise! This may not sound like a huge problem but it is hugely irritating not only to me but my hiking buddies as well, i've even overheard people we pass en route comment on the noise! I see no mention of this issue in these reviews but have seen similar complaints elsewhere online. All that said this IS a great pack, versatile, tough and highly compressible so overall i'm pleased with my purchase. I would like to know if anyone else has experienced the 'squeak' and have any advice to offer; or if Osprey can offer any advice as I'm considering ditching this bag in favour of another non-squeaking one so I can enjoy the silence!
I realy like the backpack. best choise ever.
i have the european verson.
but sometimes i would like ik had a daypack at on the backpack.
can i buy as a Accesoir. so i can change before the trip.
Exactly what I need for carrying heavy loads on multi-day treks. Love that it has a rain cover and not a daypack which would be useless for hiking. Another great bag!
