Organisation and accessibility are key during long adventures. The lid not only has multiple pockets but is also removable, offering great versatility. The top of the pack remains protected without the lid thanks to the deployable FlapJacket™ top cover.
An integrated rain cover, Stow-on-the-Go™ trekking pole attachment, InsideOut™ compression straps and multiple attachment points allow you to carry your gear any way you like. Aether AG 60 has plenty of storage for 3-season backpacking trips.
Aether AG provides uncompromising comfort, ventilation and stability for your multi-day adventures.
As an essential feature for Europe, this pack is supplied with a raincover instead of the DayLid.
I just finished the first shortish backpacking trip with my new pack. Before purchase, I compared and tested (in shop) a few Osprey packs; I found the AG system to fit me far better than the other options, and Aether feeling slightly better than Atmos as it sits a bit closer to the back. I have a relatively short back, and I had to adjust the carry system to the shortest possible length. During the trip, I found the pack to be very comfortable. The minor pressure points in the hip area disappeared after a couple of days, and the pack provided a good level of stability. Several details are well thought out: especially useful I found the large pockets in the hip belt. The construction overall also looks like it is going to last.

Excellent sack
I bought this for a 5-day trek through the Fisherfield forest in the Scottish Highlands and couldn't fault it. Adequate volume, comfortable carry, always room to stuff in some gear I had finished using (such as waterproof) but have it handy to pull out again. Versatile rain cover. Handled well when shouldering the load. Definitely recommend.

One of the best all round travel backpacks
As I jet off to Australia to backpack for two years then to NZ for two years and then to the US to hopefully they hike the Pacific crest trail. I need a strong, durable but most importantly comftable backpack to withstand years of abuse and a one that would mould to my body just right and so far it’s holding up great! 60ltr was just the right size not too big not too small would definitely recommend this pack to anyone thinking about hiking, travelling or what not. It’s best the buy a long lasting pack than 5 cheap ones:)

incredible load transfer made 20 mile days bearable.
just used on our self supported west highland way trip last week. having used other Osprey packs in the past (exposure and switch) i was tempted by a lighter weight pack but as i was carrying a 2 man tent personal gear and food for 2 people for 7 days am glad i went with the heavier pack, as i said above the load transfer Osprey have achieved is incredible making the 23kilos/50pounds i carried as close to comfortable as you could expect. and no compromise on features namely massive hip belt pockets and the ability to fit a bladder behind the shoulder straps as-well as the internal hydration sleeve. overall i could live out of this pack indefinitely and it feels bombproof (another reason i chose it over some of the lighter equivalents). It may sound daft but this pack is massive if you want it to be, a huge plus as i am allergic to stuff hanging from my pack as i hike. great job as always Osprey.

Aether
Good backpack, like the way Osprey is built in general and the Aether is no exception ;)
