Ultralight Stuff Pack

We told this new pack to 'get stuffed', and that's exactly what it did. Bringing you our new and highly innovative Ultralight Stuff Pack. Within seconds the lightweight backpack can be stuffed away into its own carry case, no larger than the size of an apple. Built with a Deluxe AirMesh™ harness the backpack offers a comfortable carry unusual for a compressible pack of this size. Fully waterproof coated fabric and seams mean you won't get caught out in the event of a light drizzle or sudden downpour. For organisation and easy access we've included a zippered stash pocket, internal security pocket and stretch mesh side pocket for a bottle of water. Reflective graphics mean you'll always be seen. All of these features and more make this a perfect daypack that won't take up any room in your luggage and won't weigh you down whilst on holiday.

This my third Osprey backpack and the second one I bought online on Osprey website.

The last one was a Magma Orange Daylite which is more like dark tangerine than bright orange as shown on the website but it was ok.

This time the Shadow Grey Ultralight Stuff Pack is nor shadow nor grey not even black as the website image.
Due to the name I figured it would be dark anthracite but in reality the color is dark forest GREEN!

This is a nice color to offer for the customers in search for a “nature” bag but I was shopping for a neutral bag for urban use where I wear mostly blue or dark navy blue coats so it doesn’t really fit…

I am photographer so I know a bit about color reproduction and my screens are calibrated and Osprey web site is not color accurate and even the names are misleading.

The bag it self is fine.
Osprey Customer Service,

Hello Nicolas,

We do our best to make the images on our website as accurate as possible to the actual colours of the packs based on the presale samples that we are given. Sometimes the colours of the presale samples are slightly different colours than final production packs. We do our best to correct these but as you are aware, being a photographer, not all monitors are calibrated correctly and not everyone has a keen eye for colour differences that can occur online. However, we appreciate your feedback and we will get this looked into so that we can get the colours corrected.

If you wish to speak to us directly about your pack, please email us at care@ospreyeurope.com.

A Satisfied Military Customer!
I recently bought one of these for use in a Military Capacity.
For years, the concept has been to top flap a daysack under the lid of a larger bergan for equipment you may require quickly to patrol with, but with this because of its packsize I can essentially use it as a waterproof outer for the kit I require in a hurry and pack it into the main compartment. Still just as quick to access but without the bulk, keeping my bergan nice & compact and streamlined!

The only improvements i'd make to this to make it appeal further to the military community would be to slightly increase capacity (25l maybe?) reinforce the connection points, add another elasticated pocket on the side and produce it in multicam, or other tactical color. At this price these would sell like hot cakes!

An excellent pack, good work Osprey!

Really nice quality. Usually with this kind of material, I would be afraid to rip it, but definitely not with this one. Furthermore, it is very well thought out, and even gives you an extra small compartment.

However, I'm a bit sad that the shoulder straps aren't longer. I'm a quite big guy at 194cm (6.36 ft), and it kinda feels like the bag is sitting a bit high on my back, even with the straps at their longest. I've tried other stuff packs of the same type, which was much more comfortable for me to wear, because the straps were longer.

Overall, this is a great buy if you aren't as tall as me.
Richard

From the mum who gets landed with carrying the kids' sweaters on an afternoon walk, to the dog walker who wants hands free but some bits need to be carried, and essential for impromptu shopping trips when you don't want to pay for a carrier bag. I love this. And the problem with edges getting your back was quickly solved by placing a sit mat as a cushion inside the pack. Brilliant!!
Alexandra
Pratique, léger, solide, très bien pour un portage très léger de quelques heures.
mira
It is waterproof indeed! :D Highly recommended. Very light. Downside is that it doesn't have cushion at the back so if you stuff items with edges then it can be uncomfortable, but there is always a solution for that - place jackets/clothes at the back to act as cushion for your back.
