Xenith 105

Wilderness unlimited. A true wilderness expedition is a project in long-distance organisation. You'll appreciate a pack that understands the challenge ahead.

The Xenith 105 is our true workhorse of backpacking packs, it was bred to organise and carry your gear across Earth's remotest regions. The dual side-zips and lower base compartment provide multiple access points to the main body of your pack.

We know what a 25+kg load feels like. To make this load more manageable we've invested all our expertise and experience into creating the best large-load bearing backsystem ever. The customizable Bioform™ CM hipbelt supports and distributes the weight of the pack in an even and comfortable way, while the torso adjustable BioForm™ harness with NeoSpacer™ mesh and AirScape™ backpanel provide both ventilation and comfort.

Our unique Stow-on-the-Go™ feature allows you to attach your Trekking Poles to the pack quickly and easily without removing it. The Powermesh pockets on the front and sides of the pack are great for storing anything you can cram into them, designed to access water bottles on the go.

The dual hipbelt pockets provide instant access to essentials like Energy Bars, Sun-Cream or Compact Camera.

The Xenith 105 incorporates everything we've learned over the last 40 years about building durable, comfortable and intuitive expedition packs.

In Europe, this pack is supplied with a standard lid, rather than a DayLid.

Excellent

Very good hikingpack!
I'm extremely happy with this pack, Xenith 105. It has all the things i need in a pack, for example large hip-pockets, easy access for my waterbottle, lots of room. It's lightweight so instead of going around with a 60 l-pack with things on the outside it's much better to have this with everything in the inside and still some spare-room. It's easy access to all your things, and smaller pockets for things you use while hiking.

And of course the most important: it's good to have on your back!

Not the best but good
As a high spec and high price bag I expected it to include a rain cover.
The stretchy material on the exterior is the same as other backpacks, useless. If it gets caught it gets torn easily.
The size of the bag is great. Massive pockets everywhere. Can carry a good load.
However the straps that bring the bag closer to your back do not sinch down enough and the bag wobbles on your back, very dangerous for your balance.
Comfy waist band however when loaded the plate in the band digs into your hips. There isn't really any padding on the underside of the waist band/belt.
Good compressibility when not full.
A shame really when you spend so much money.
I was advised to get a large, however I am 6ft and the large is not a perfect fit on the lowest adjustability, there is a small gap between my shoulders and shoulder straps. I'd recommend the medium to anyone else.

Loved it
I did the Tour Du Mont Blanc solo last September with this pack - I was doing it in just over a week so not booked accommodation and was carrying tent/stove/sleeping bag/food etc. 28-29Kg total. Very comfortable pack and very usable, I'd recommend it. I'd prefer an under-lid pocket rather than straps to make the lid into a bum-bag though - would be good as an option.

Great Bagpack
I have this back-pack for over a year now and used it in all my travels since then. Great Size and very comfy I would totally recommend it especially if you get the transporter pack as well if you plan to travel by plane as well.

A big old pack likely to build a big reputation
At 194cm and 100kg - Iam big, with big clothes and big sleeping bags and I often found my old packs were straining at the seams in winter months as I tried to ram climbing kit and winter layers into an 85 litre pack. My solution was to carry an old army 100ltr Bergen but it lacked any of the advantages of a modern suspension system. THEN arrived the Xenith 105 - it would be easy to think that this is a positive rating for merely 20 litres of extra capacity but so much more is encompassed by the Xenith105. Oblique front pockets with easy access are big enough to carry a jetboil and meals, or a first aid kit and quick access items like a head torch and waterproofs. The main compartment has easy access J zips which mean that despite being a cavern of a bag you can get to everything easily. Throw in snack pockets on the hip belt (apparently you can put other stuff in them), a floating and detachable lid with more capacity than many daysacks you are onto a winner. The harness is well cut and comfortable for f ull day of load carrying without any chafe or pressurepoints. I would honestly give this a sixth star if I could. Love Love Love it!
