Seral 7

Bite Me. Designed to go fast, the Seral 7 is a bike-specific lumbar-pack featuring an internal hydration reservoir. Complete with the essential features for a day on the trail while staying out of the way during the technical phases of your ride, Seral is an excellent lightweight companion for time in the saddle.

Seral features a ventilated AirScape™ backpanel, providing comfort and airflow throughout, whilst the ventilated mesh hipbelt with pockets gives a close and stable fit. Dual compression straps on either side further improve the packs fit and stability during active riding. Inside, a specially designed Hydraulics Lumbar 1.5L Reservoir sits inside a sleeve, allowing plenty of space to store clothing, snacks and tools. The reservoir hose wraps around the body and magnetically attaches to the hipbelt, remaining out of the way until it’s needed. A front-panel pocket provides some organisation, including a scratch-free pocket for electronics or glasses, and a mesh pouch with key-clip. Finally, the lower LED Light attachment point and reflective graphics will help you be seen during your night-time rides.

When air for improvements gets thin!
Perfect for mountainbiking. I‘ve used it on several enduro tours now and am very pleased with my purchase. I haven‘t experienced any problems with the hose whatsoever. Neither while walking nor while riding. The magnet holds it steadily in place. I have underwent the trouble of cutting it a bit to sit snuggly around my waist/belly. My biggest criticism also surrounds the drinking reservoir. Osprey should provide a cap for the drinking valve, as it sits under „mud“ fire constantly.. I have bought an additional valve with cap now. Instant improvement.
The bag itself is not just black but has a very subtile camouflage look, which I only discovered in very bright riding conditions a few days ago but which I quite like. It is also very spacious and allows me to carry a multi-tool, several snacks, tubeless repair kit, my cell and keys and even a folding saw for trail shaping tasks.

Wear comfort is incredible indeed. At the beginning of my first ride, it took me perhaps 5 minutes to get used to the new fit, coming from an USWE four-point strap minimal backpack, which I never missed once so far.

Hadn‘t I bought it yet, I would order it now!

Nice pack, sets well and doesent feel to heavy even with load in in. quite spaciuos actually. The magnetic fix for drinking tube could have been better. It is situated in a matter that make the hose beeing knocked of when walking, because of ppendeling arms. And not so easy to fnd when speed is high. Modified with a retractive device like we used in the old days for skipass makes in retrac by itself much better.

Perfect!
I bought this for a week of hiking even if it's for bike rides, and it is great! With the reservoir full i put an extra litre water in and it still felt steady on my back with the extra weight. The straps to secure the pack close to your body is genius. Comfortable to wear! I used it for a bike ride as well, forgot i even had it on!

Great bag, just one step away from amazing
This bag is great. It's comfortable, doesn't slip off and it has enough room and storage to bring a spare tube, multi-tool, light raincoat and a snack even with the hydration reservoir full.
I've used it in short and some longer trips/trails but noticed that when the terrain got a bit bouncier, despite the bag not bulging, the water tube came loose and nearly got caught in the spokes.
Because, compared to a hydration system on a backpack, there's a bit more tube required it wouldn't be a bad idea to add an extra magnet or clip point to prevent it accidentally coming off.
After tightening the buckle straps there was bit of extra material loose but I sorted it with two velcro straps to keep them from flapping around.
A great bag nonetheless, sturdy, good quality material and ideal for a short/medium trip on the trails.
Thanks,
Ric

It's good Jim, but not as we know it...
Hi folks. Well... after trying a similar 'bum-bag' design I had a look around the net to see if anyone made a specific hydration for biking design - step up Osprey with their Seral. Got it ordered and it arrived promptly.
Fit is good, even fully loaded with the 1.5l of water, a lightweight jacket, a spare tube, a micro pump and CO2 system plus the basic tools required for riding - it doesn't budge around too much and you really do forget you are wearing it. The older designed item dug into the hips too much where as the Seral seems to spread the load a bit and it's similar in feel to having a rucksack waist strap on.
Whilst riding the pack sits still even when bounced around the trails. But here comes some criticism... the water tube, even when retained by the magnet can bounce loose and has the potential to get snagged into the rear wheel - nearly done it twice mysellf! Also the tension straps have excess material which flaps about. So a couple of suggestions... A retaining band of material (Like you have on most rucksack waistbands) and either another magnetic clip around the halfway point of the waist band or just a simple plastic retention clip to slot the tube into...
I could give you the design for a retractable hose but maybe another time (Don't want to steal your design teams thunder!)
The build quality is brilliant as usual and the attention to detail in the little things is awesome.
I'm expecting this will last me quite sometime! Well done Osprey!
Cheers.
Dave.

Very little to improve on
Its great, there is no doubting that, Ive only had one quick ride with it so don't know how good it would be for epic rides however there seems to be plenty of space in the bag for food and snacks. Whilst riding I didn't realise I had it on which is impressive seen as I have quite small hips, but yet it stayed still.
The only improvement I would make would be to have a method of dealing with the excess strap material, seen as i have just wrapped it up and used zip-ties.
