prática y organizada al mismo tiempo. Simplemente genial!
Well thought through travel pack - but not fully loaded
Currently owning 5 different Osprey rucsacs for different purposes, this will be the 8th Osprey that I have purchased, and so a review.. This backpack is better than many others; well made from decent materials, and with good zips, the pockets are well laid out and the backpack has a large carrying capacity for when it's needed. and it's just about the right size for work, for aircraft carry on. The key differentiator for this backpack is that it can be tightened down for those times when it is not full, or expanded for when you have more gear to carry, whether training gear or enough for a few days away with work. For those of you that travel constantly, this is a high value attribute, and this bag makes it real easy compared to most others. The multiplicity of pockets and the fact that they are all accessible when the bag is upright is a bonus.
If I have 3 minor niggles, then they are these:
1. Carry comfort - Laptop holder design location.... it's just not that comfortable to carry for any distance or duration when it's fully loaded; into the airport, or between hotel and office is okay, but fully loaded it would not be my first choice. the design challenge of where to put the laptop - and it's tempting to use the laptop as part of the 'frame', just doesn't really work, in comparison to the Pixel - which had around 6 years of hard service before it gave up. And the hip belt, which has wider areas to share load on the hips, just is not
2. And I feel like I'm just whining here, so please take this in the spirit with which this is intended: there's no easily accessible internal pocket that's just the right size for passport and related travel documents, and which is secure - you can't just throw these into a loose area!
3. The zips could do with being colour coded, or tagged differently - as all zips are present together when the bag is zipped up, and it's a bit of a lottery if it's dark, or you're in a rush.
Saying this, the backpack is better than the rest, and if long term, if it can take the punishment that my others have taken, then it will be worth the 100 GBP.
The perfect size for a month of vacation
I always travel with a 20L backpack. But sometimes I was a little fair (for example in winter, when the clothes are thicker)
It is my first OSPREY PORTER 30L. I find its perfect size for my way of traveling light.
I use organizers to carry everything with easy and convenient access
The multitude of pockets was never a priority, but now that I have them I find them very useful.
In a few months we will make his second outing. We're going to Indonesia for a month.
It is the best backpack I had in my whole life.
Good but must improve!
The backpack has excellent quality. Good amount of pockets but no side ones for a bottle. Amazing or organization room for laptops, tablets, etc.
Shoulder straps could be more rugged. It feels uncomfortable when fully loaded.
Best backpack ever
This is my first Osprey backpack. I really like all the features in it. Lockable zippers are good. Possibility to hide the hipbelt is great. Main compartment is very spacious. There are many pockects. This product is better than I expexted. I only miss a raincover. It would be nice if it was included in the backpack.
Parfait pour de long week-end... Et plus si affinité!
Bien pensé, pratique, ergonomique. La finition est soignée et les matériaux de qualité. J'adore mon sac !! C'est une vértiable invitation au voyage.
Honestly, I was expecting more
When I saw the backpack I said: OMG! is perfect. Have the space for the computer, you can have everything organise, and plenty of pockets.
The reality is that when the backpack is full, the back is very uncomfortable, the down part folds so is not nice at all.
Also, I miss a pocket on the side for the bottle of water.
For the price, I was expecting more.
Has everything I expected for travelling
I bought this bag especially for my trip to the US with many stopovers. It has never been so easy to pass the security checks because everything was in place and easily accessible. It fits perfectly in the aircraft hand luggage compartments. The backpack is worth every penny.
Unfortunately, there is a little thing to complain about, for hiking, he is only partially suitable, as he rests directly on the back, but that is written in the description.
Great pack, doe everything I wanted, however could do with a better way to carry a water botttle
As someone who loves the outdoor life I and my family have adopted osprey as the brand of choice having tried many other manufacturers over the years. Now that I travel extensively for work I looked to osprey to fulfill my luggage needs and having their 40 litre roll along, and as using a 26 litre commuter pack. I have swapped that commuter pack for this which fits perfectly under the seat, carries my laptop, books and pens easily and still has plenty of space for case overflow or what ever law I need to carry. My only complaint is that as a traveller I always have a water bottle and there is no ice real place to carry it, right now it’s on a carabiner on the shoulder strap hook that then unbalanced the load.
The 4 star rating is perhaps not 100% fair because the bag is as good as most other reviewers say that it is.
But I am regretting not buying the safe black model but instead going for the green model based on the colours on the web site. The actual bag is a lighter shade than that in the photos (which appear to be to be a less pastel-like look that I would have preferred). As JP wrote in his comment it would have been useful to see the bag in real life in order to decide if the colour of the bag is (sorry for the non-PC comment) “manly” enough.
