Ozone 75 Convertible

Take a look at our light-weight wheeled travel pack, which transforms in seconds into a fully operational backpack. A lightweight frame, wheels and extendable ErgoGrip™ T-shaped handle mean you can roll with complete ease and control. Alternatively, if you're running to catch a taxi and wish to carry it like a backpack then simply zip open the back of the pack and fit the torso-adjustable harness and hipbelt and get ready to go. Equipped with an adjustable trampoline suspended mesh backsystem the Ozone Convertible offers complete comfort and ventilation. Whilst being carried the weight practically disappears thanks to the padded spacer mesh lumbar. Built on our Ultralight HighRoad LT™ chassis, made from an ABS polymer, the Ozone convertible is highly durable as well as incredibly lightweight. For extra security, the Ozone backpack features a lockable zip on the main compartment. The internal compression strap system tightly compresses your gear, so you can efficiently secure every last item. Planning to head out for the day whilst on holiday? The Ozone 75 convertible comes with a removable 18L quick detach daypack complete with a padded laptop and magazine sleeve as well as a top zippered pocket for keys and other essentials. We purchased 2 of these bags after being impressed with the quality of another rucksack we had bought for our daughter who has travelled extensively and it still looks like new. The Ozone capacity worked well for us on a 17 day trip to Peru. The general quality of the zips etc is good. However we have only taken three flights with these bags, one has a massive scuff on the corner and the alloy frame on the other is so badly distorted the bag no longer stands up. I can accept fair wear and tear but these bags should be able to stand up to the rigours of general airline travel. It needs a stronger frame and protection on the corners.

léger et maniable, contenu un peu trop petit à mon goût et lorsqu'il faut remettre le petit sac à dos sur le grand lorsque ce dernier est fort rempli, c'est quasi impossible..

It's very lightweight and practical, but flimsy. After a single one-week trip, it's looking in a worse state than a large Karrimor backpack I've been using regularly since 1995. Main issue is that, even without the daysac being filled to capacity, it's unstable when being wheeled on very average surfaces, and can flip over without warning, damaging the frame and attachment webbing. Guarantee is so vague as to be useless.
Osprey Customer Service,

Hi Gareth,

Thanks for your feedback. The Ozone is designed to be lightweight but not flimsy, if there is a fault with your pack then you can contact our Guarantee team about it. We are also unsure on how you feel that the Guarantee statement is vague, if you could expand on your feedback we would be very greatful. Please email care@ospreyeurope.com with any further feedback.

Took it to Thailand. Had 8 different flights with it. Rode it on bumpy roads, carried it off the beaten track. Really loved it. Best purchase in a long time!
Sally
An attractive color and design with plenty of pockets etc. the day sack comes off and onto the main bag easily and is a useful size for general sightseeing. The bag manoevres well and the hand is reasonably comfortable. Why the low rating? The fabric isn't strong enough, it was torn on its second flight. - really disappointing!
