I got mine about 5ish years ago, Ive used it to cycle from london to brighten, commute to work everyday by bike. I did my first triathlon out of it, carried all my kit. went hill walking. its still going strong, only down side is the phone pocket little small for my new phone but still useful for carrying bars and other stuff. this pack is so dam useful. Highly recommended
Very good, wirh space for improvement
The backpack is very good, durable and light compared to its 32l capacity. Pretty adjustable and spacious inside. Anyway rhe external hip and belt pockets don't fit modern (5.5 inch+) smartphones what would be quite handy.
Excellent functionality and size
This backpack is big enough for me for a full week in the mountains. I already had the Escapist 25, Which looks sleeker, but often felt limited in size. The Escapist 32 has all the same features (the key strap seems to be of a lesser quality, but that is a small detail) and a very versatile size.
I love this bag. Perfect size for me. Lots of organisation pockets. I've taken it on a few adventures already, it's built to last and I know I'll have it for years..
Wow, I bought this bag with intentions of using it on multiday bike trips. I tried it as a daypack and this bag is awesome, so much space. I've been using it for couple of weeks now and its great. I using it for long days in city when I have to carry laptop, jacket, water, food, books etc. The volume isnt a problem and if u want to do the shoping and buy some water, milk and lots of stuff you just put everything there and have your hands free. Backpack carry weight very well even without strapping. All zipper works fast and great, additional pockets are good for keys, wipes, small items. I just made a small test and bag can carry my tent, sleeping bag and I got still lots of space left. Cant wait to test it on the multiday bike adventure. I bought it with good discount and I amazed with quality. I have more expensive backpacks and the Osprey is perfect balance between weight of the pack (1kg for 32l is awesome ) and durability. I am looking for a reason to buy another Osprey pack for different usefulness.
This is my second time purchasing the Escapist32 after a gap of 7 years. My first bag is still doing great and I just lend it away to a friend. The new Escapist32 retains all its well-thoughtout features and is delight and assured long term travel companion for many years to come and for many memories to make with it.
Item in black not as in picture
Item in black has a lot of a - personal opinion - rather ugly green that covers the whole bottom section.
Despite this being technically by law a fault in the description; they want me to pay for return postage - I called to ask.
This is pretty poor from what is supposed to be a reputable seller, and when purchased directly from them.
An accurate picture of this colour needs to be uploaded and I don’t know why it hasn’t.
A few tweaks and this would be perfect
I use this bag for a daily cycle commute into London on the "Boris" bikes. So in the spirit of constructive feedback 3 points I would like to make 1) the belt zipped pocket needs to be moved further around in order to easily zip keys and fob safely 2) the phone pocket on strap is too tight to take current iphone or the bigger XS Max 3) It would be really helpful to have a pocket for tablet or lap top inside .
Being able to carry bike helmet externally is a big plus
I like the bag but we need a more commuter friendly version . Hope this helps . David
Made for biking but works for practically anything
I first bought Escapist 25 and after some time I realized It couldn't swallow the amount of Equipment I needed, so I got the Escapist 32 as well.
Perfect size for me on everyday bicycle commute to work carrying two Changes of clothes for after biking and one set for the gym training at lunch.
I receantly came back from a hiking trip in Italy along the Amalfi coast and Capri where I had the bag as main hiking pack.
I packed Everything I needed with ease as well as 6,5 liters of water, no problem. We hiked from 12-20Km per day and it worked perfectly well.
I really like it because it is soft in the lower region not hard like my Stratos 50 where I need to pack a Heavy load. This enabled us to smoothly navigate up the goatpaths of the
Mountains as well as high grass and thick forest.
This must be the most complete bag I have ever had.
