Great backpack good quality
I just bought the Ariel AG 55 liters and I am quite happy about my choice. It fits very well, there are lots of pockets and the quality is great. However, I don't find any information about the thermoformable belt...
It is written on a tag that we have to go to some specialized shop with an Osprey oven, but I can't find where to find them, the price etc. Can someone help me with this? (I live in France). It would be sad not to do it, as it is one of the most featured qualities of the backpack..
Thank you

The 55l is the most versatile bag I have ever had
I bought the Ariel backpack mainly because of 1 feature: 55l is a great size to do long backpacking trips without being overwhelmed by the size. At the same time, you can take off the top part of the backpack and change it to 46l, which is not only airplane cabin size, but also a fantastic day pack. In combination with the colour, the great fit (I tried Alpine Low, Deuter and none of them fit my back), and the rain cover, I couldn't be happier about my backpack! Customer service at Osprey is also helpful and quick, so overall extremely satisfied.

I love Osprey Ariel AG 55
This is the first time that I have Backpack from Osprey. Actually I was wrong buying, because Ariel is for Female but still comfortable for Asian people like me.
That bag very nice when you carrying many stuffs, and again comfortable for Tropical Mountains

Nice bag
Osprey backpaxks are the only ones that fit me, since im quite short. I wanted a bag that is not too big so i got the ariel 55. For future iterations, i would love to see the j-shaped zipper again! This model of the ariel series does not have one, only a zipper at the side. Further ore, for me it is not clear why you would remove the lid that is not convertible into a bag? (I saw a video of a osprey ariel bag of which the top lid was convertible into a daypack!!). Besides this, the packback seems really nice (have not used it yet) and i really love how well it fits!

Just some questions
Hej,
I just got that backpack a few days ago, but it feels very nice on the back, so far.
While trying to understand all it's functions and possibilities, I was wondering some things:
- What are those additional clips for on the side? You show in the video #2 that they are to differently place the horizontal belts, but what advantage does that have?
- Why do the side pockets have two openings? I assume it is for better accessibility while carrying the backpack, but I wouldn't get my bottles out of the lower whole and it feels like it makes it easier to loose smaller things when taking off the backpack. So I am just curious about your opinion on that one.
- My boyfriend said that for his backpack the removable "lid" bag can be used separately. Is this also possible for this product?
Thanks!

Quite happy, but..
the first time it was transported by airplane, the "skeleton" kinda got bended. Osprey wouldn't replace it, so I guess you just have to be carefull.
Other than that it's a nice bag - lots of space and having two ways of getting to your stuff in the mainsection (top and midpart) makes it really easy to get whatever you want. Easy to adjust as well.

Very Good
I only have had the bag in my possession for a few weeks. I traveled with it for 5 days. I really like how much room there is in the bag.
I love the design, it really feels good on my back. I like all the features and the way you can add clothing/other items from the top as well as the front and lower front.
The lowest compartment on the front is very handy (and it's nice that you can separate it from the top compartment).
I have one question about a feature: On the left lower side there's a grey clip, but I can't find the other side of the clip or find what it is for...
