Talon 11

Building on 10 years of iconic design, the next generation of the iconic Talon series is here. Talon 11 features clean, modern design and stunning performance no matter what your adventure. When it comes to the perfect lightweight daypack the Talon 11 won't disappoint.

The cleverly designed new AirScape™ accordion foam backpanel combined with a seamless lumbar-to-hipbelt body wrap increases air flow and provides an even more comfortable carrying experience, by keeping the load close to the body and spreading the weight evenly around the hips.

Talon 11 is complete with innovative solutions such as Stow-on-the-Go™ trekking pole attachment, LidLock™ bike helmet attachment, single ice-axe attachment and InsideOut™ compression straps. The zipped pockets on each side of the hipbelt allow quick and easy access to smaller items such as phone, snacks and GPS. On the top of the pack you will find another conveniently placed pocket, ideal for small items that you need easy access to. On the front of the pack is an elasticated bungee, perfect for easy storage of a jacket or extra layer of clothing. Keeping hydrated during activity is essential and re-filling your hydration reservoir has been made easy with the quick access external hydration sleeve with reservoir hanging loop.

Talon 11 is compatible with 1.5L Hydraulics™ LT and 2L Hydraulics™ reservoirs and the size Extra-Small High Vis Raincover.

Talon 11 is built to be lightweight, comfortable, durable and exceptionally versatile. No matter the adventure, Talon has your back.

Consigliatissimo.

I like the product, including the whistle in the buckle.
It would be better if it included a water proof cover.
It would be better if there was somewhere to clip the waist straps when not in use as these get mucky dangling around on the floor.

Having recently experienced how much using poles slowed me down simply because I had to take my pack off a wrestle to remove them in gloves. This looks spot on. So much kit can be kept at close hand with this. I love it!

Having taken up walking/hiking to help me get fitter I decided to buy a decent backpack. Having used a number of high street shop type packs which were always badly made or uncomfortable I decided to invest in something a bit more expensive. I knew I would be doing a lot of walking and hiking on my summer holiday in Greece this year so decided to get something that would be light and wouldn’t get too sweaty. I was a bit scandalised by the price of a quality backpack like the Talon II but paid up and waited for it to arrive. On arrival I found even though I had ordered a medium/large I found the hip belt a bit tight . I called up Osprey to see if they could help and they offered to MAKE me an extension strap NO EXTRA CHARGE, it came in the post the following day – AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!!
The pack was a lot lighter than I had expected and I did wonder if it would hold up but over two weeks of use hiking through bushes and on forest trails including getting caught in a thorn tree have not caused it any problems and apart from a few grubby straps caused by mud which will wipe off easy enough it still looks good. The materials are light but seem very tough. It has a lot of features I would be unlikely to use like the helmet holder and ice axe loops but that’s ok by me. The pack was brilliant on my hiking in a hot climate, my back did sweat a lot sweat but the pack kept it as cool as possible and I found no matter how sweaty I got the pack would dry out once taken off in a few minutes helping to stop the thing from getting soaked in sweat and unpleasant to put back on after rest stops.
I equipped mine with a 2 litre Osprey Hydration bladder and found the bladder and pack made a great combination and really made the hikes and walks I took on holiday a lot more pleasurable and easier than they otherwise might have been.
I found when carrying around 5kg of stuff plus the bladder the pack was very comfortable indeed and I almost forgot I was wearing it. The pockets and zips are all a sensible size and I think it’s a well designed and well made item that entirely justifies the cost. I was carrying pretty much everything for long hikes (first aid kit, extra water, maps, camera, binos etc) and still had a bit of space left over for any wet weather gear I might have wanted to carry so I found the pack about perfect for long day hikes. As for the price – the quality will be remembered long after the price has been forgotten and I would consider it worth the price just for the amazing customer service from Osprey. So pleased with it I just bought a Talon 4 for shorter hikes and get fit walking. Great product that I would recommend to anyone.
