Aether AG 60

The journey is your reward. Having once graced the cover of the legendary Time Magazine, Aether AG now takes a big step forward to make your journey even more rewarding.

Aether AG is designed for multi-day backpacking and carrying significant loads. The backsystem combines the comfort and ventilation of Osprey's multi-award-winning AG AntiGravity™ backsystem with the custom-mouldable fit of Osprey's next generation IsoForm™ hipbelt. A sprung mesh lumbar area, combined with stiff load bars integrated into the harness allows for impressive load transfer through the large muscle groups in the legs, enabling an even and comfortable backpacking experience.

Organisation and accessibility are key during long adventures. The lid not only has multiple pockets but is also removable, offering great versatility. The top of the pack remains protected without the lid thanks to the deployable FlapJacket™ top cover.

An integrated rain cover, Stow-on-the-Go™ trekking pole attachment, InsideOut™ compression straps and multiple attachment points allow you to carry your gear any way you like. Aether AG 60 has plenty of storage for 3-season backpacking trips.

Aether AG provides uncompromising comfort, ventilation and stability for your multi-day adventures.

As an essential feature for Europe, this pack is supplied with a raincover instead of the DayLid.

incredible load transfer made 20 mile days bearable.
just used on our self supported west highland way trip last week. having used other Osprey packs in the past (exposure and switch) i was tempted by a lighter weight pack but as i was carrying a 2 man tent personal gear and food for 2 people for 7 days am glad i went with the heavier pack, as i said above the load transfer Osprey have achieved is incredible making the 23kilos/50pounds i carried as close to comfortable as you could expect. and no compromise on features namely massive hip belt pockets and the ability to fit a bladder behind the shoulder straps as-well as the internal hydration sleeve. overall i could live out of this pack indefinitely and it feels bombproof (another reason i chose it over some of the lighter equivalents). It may sound daft but this pack is massive if you want it to be, a huge plus as i am allergic to stuff hanging from my pack as i hike. great job as always Osprey.

Aether
Good backpack, like the way Osprey is built in general and the Aether is no exception ;)

Excellent backpack
I was in need of a backpack to face a long term trip and after a thorough inquiry of the market I decided to buy the Aether.
It is my first experience with a backpack this big and so far it's proved itself a very good product. Materials are excellent and it fits perfectly on my back even loading it at maximum capacity.
So far so good.
The only critic I might add (and that costed the Aether the 5th star) is the fact that sometimes I find it a bit complicated to use and to load. Maybe I just need some time to get used to it.
All in all an excellent backpack for long treks and adventurous traveling.

Aether 60
Nice hiking backpack. I have used it many hiking trips. Not too big one but enough to make 5 days trips. I really like Osprey quality.
I like it pocket system.
Next purchase will be day backpack and it will be Osprey of Course.

Very spacious and fits nicely
I bought this backpack a few months ago for a trip in Indonesia.
It easily fit my needs for the 3 weeks trip. It fits me nicely and it feels relatively light for the weight it carries.

Nice backpack, AG will improve it !
This backpack is one of the best I've ever tried. Well featured.
If Osprey could improve it with the new AG (anti-gravity) system, this back would be perfect !! Thanks a lot !!

Initial impressions are fantastic
Being new to backpacking I can certainly understand the ounce counters. The less weight we carry on our backs the more miles we can hike with less chance of injuries. However I am not convinced that the pack is the best place to cut weight. A little more weight in the pack provides more support, more padding which equals more comfort, and better durability. This pack is hard to beat for light...not ultralight weight, yet with an extensive feature set. Once I selected this pack...I never looked back. Great looking, comfortable and able to handle heavier loads, while being built to last! Add the "almighty warranty" and you have a stellar value!
