Xenith 75

A true wilderness expedition is a project in long-distance organisation. You'll appreciate a pack that understands the challenge ahead.

The Xenith is our thoroughbred racehorse of backpacking packs, it was bred to organise and carry your gear across Earth's remotest regions. The dual side-zips and lower base compartment provide multiple access points to the main body of your pack. We know what a 25+kg load feels like, we've invested all our expertise and experience into the "engine" of the pack - or you might call it the backsystem.

The customizable Bioform™ CM hipbelt supports and distributes your load in an even and comfortable way. The torso adjustable NeoSpacer™ harness and AirScape™ backpanel provide both ventilation and comfort.

Our unique Stow-on-the-Go™ feature allows you to attach your Trekking Poles to the pack quickly and easily without removing it. You can remove the top lid and convert it to a lumbar pack, perfect for day hikes away from your basecamp.

The Powermesh pockets on the front and sides of the pack are great for storing anything you can cram into them, designed to access water bottles on the go.

The dual hipbelt pockets provide instant access to essentials like Energy Bars, Sun-Cream or Compact Camera.

The Xenith incorporates everything we've learned over the last 40 years about building durable, comfortable and intuitive expedition packs.

Best medium weight pack
I've used this pack on 4 trips from 10 to 16 days carrying all my food. It's a very comfortable pack with great weight distribution. The main compartment was smaller than my 65l backpack but the 2 front pockets are massive. Very easy to pack things that you need first or fast. And if you don't use them, then the pack is not so big a you would expect from a 75l. Because of these pockets the weight is also kept in de middle of the pack. The top lid can be used as a small daypack and I've used it twice, it's a nice feature, and quite large. For this weight there's no other pack with the same quality, durability or carrying capacity with so much comfort. It's really the best I had for long trips and winter camping. What I don't like is the separator in the bottom, it doesn't fully close so smaller things might fall through, so it's pointless to have and just adds weight. The logo peels off from the stretch pocket. And the side stretch pockets are open on the side, so small things can fall out, I rather have fully closed pockets on de side. They could made a lighter version without the side and bottom zipper, I never use them. Or a roll top so you can leave the top lid at home. If I ever need another large pack it will be a Xenith again.
Osprey Customer Service,

Hello Jeroen,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, The Xenith series is designed as our prime expedition pack, being able to carry the most weight of all of our packs and distribute it through the backsystem providing great comfort with heavy loads. However, we always welcome our customer's feedback and I will make sure that it is passed on.
