Exceellent product and fair price
Good summer minimilist day hike
I bought synchro 12 for primary reason of sweaty back using my other day packs. And for that task it really does succeed in keeping back comfortable so big thumbs up for that . Only used it for long day ihikes in summer so far and very pleased with it. It comes with raincover which works. 12litres is quite small , so encourages me to just take essentials not the kitchen sink. The side pockets holds water well , carry 1 smart 850ml waterbottle fine on each side, perhaps a bit smaller size if on a bumpy bike. There are 3 plus 1 hydration compartments . Smallest one is great size and easy access from top for handiwipes tissue bits and bobs, the middle pocket also has useful inside pockets for easy access. The largest main pocket i can fit in a summer waterproof top, trousers and light hoody , hat, and food spread around two compartments. At first i thought a bit too small but really its fine
Love the Design but Missing Essential Aspect
I love the design of Osprey's Syncro hydration pack but when I bought it I was under the influence it would be included with a reservoir but, shockingly given the price, the pack comes as is and doesn't include a hydration pack. I was really looking forward to receiving this pack but, overall, I'm rather disappointed that it doesn't come with a camel pack. For £80 I just expected and thought it a given that it would be included. I'm made up with the design but I'm extremely disappointed with the exclusivity of an essential aspect of the product.
Love this backpack so far. I got it for running eventhought it seems to have been designed for cycling. I use it to run o the lake or to climb and it has just the right space for carrying what i need for these activities. (climbing shoes, water bottle + chalk and a tshirt or a towerl +bathing clothes for 2 persons). I like that it has a raincover as well and i havent used the pocket for carrying water yet.
In general i would recommend this backpack.
Great bag shame about the Zipper pull
Enjoyed this bag in wolf grey, for about a month of occasional use. Then the zipper pull broke and the service team suggested that it was replaced under grantee. Great and super quick, only I now have an odd zipper pull on my nearly new bag!
6+ stars if there was an option!
I use this bag for my daily cycling commute and absolutely love it, my back actually feels cooler wearing it than if I didn’t have a bag on my back because of the air flow technology! It looks so good and has so many features, the helmet catch is extremely handy. As with all Osprey products I can not recommend this enough!
A well thought out and put together pack. As a man with a big back this pack still fits nicely and is great for an afternoons walking when the weathers hot and there’s little need for carrying much gear but refreshments.
This is the third Osprey back from be bought and as son as my 4 year olds big enough he’ll be getting his own pack. I think if I was younger I would look at other products but as it goes I reckon the ones I’ve recently purchased (Stratos 36 & 50) will see me and the wife out.
Great for long walks, hiking and days outdoors
This is my first Osprey product. I bought it on the back of internet reviews. It is the best small backpack I have bought so far. The build quality is good, materials are light and the back support will make you not feel you have any load on your back . Because of this you can take a full day of exercise whether walking, hiking or cycling and do not feel the weight. It is extremely comfortable and the discreet compartment help you organise your stuff. Overall I highly recommend it and intend to also use it on my next ski trip.
Great for a long run
My third Osprey - needed. something for longer runs and the trampoline vented back and all the compartmens/bladder etc (they were including a free one when I ordered) are top. The colour of the trim/fasteners is a little more day-glo than I thought it looked in the pictures (wolf grey version - 12L) - personally not such a fan of the bright 'sports' pallete but it's a minor point. Tried it out on a 20k in a gale the other weekend - the pull out rain cover was much needed. Super comfy all the way. The Syncro does exactly what I wanted it for and doubles up for when I need a super light day pack for round town and cycling.
Great backpack for cycling and running
I have used this for over 1 month now. I use this for cycling, to run to the swimming pool, and the occasional short trip out and about. I was a bit unsure what size to go for... 12L is a little smaller than I'm used to but it has worked well for what I need and sets a reasonable upper limit for runs and long-distance cycles.
I can fit: - a medium towel and my swim stuff or: - a microfibre towel, swim stuff and change of clothes (no space for extra shoes). It will fit trainers and a top, socks etc for squash. I feel it would be too small for daily commuting, carrying a full change of clothes and lunch etc so perhaps the 20L would be better suited for this.
I was a bit unsure about using it for running as it seemed more of a cycle specific pack but does the job well. It bounced around on my back slightly at first but with a bit of adjustment on the straps it felt very stiff and much better.
I bought the Wolf grey version with green highlights and buckles. Probably worth noting that the rain cover is green, not yellow, like the one pictured with the red pack.
The rigid construction is great as is the mesh back. All the usual extra features, helmet clip, light clip and loads of pockets make it a really amazing, functional pack. It is of very high quality construction and materials and I expect it to last many years to come.
