Designed for days on the trail, the Siskin 12 is a technical and high-performance hydration pack which balances tough and durable construction with impressive organisational capacity and a progressive, stylish aesthetic.

Siskin features a comfortable Airscape™ backpanel with large air channel, promoting air-flow during hot and humid conditions whilst hugging the body closely with a stable and comfortable fit. Held in place by a breathable, pocketed hipbelt and performance-fit harness, Siskin will stay put no matter how hard you need to pedal. The integrated 2.5L Hydraulics Reservoir provides easy access to water, keeping you hydrated throughout your ride, and you’ll never be left searching for your bite-valve thanks to the magnetic retainer on the pack’s sternum strap. Talking of magnets, the sternum strap has an innovative closure mechanism, allowing you to open and close it without taking your eyes off the trail.

Internally, the Siskin features a large central pocket, with multiple internal organisation options such as side-mounted pump pockets and multiple zipped mesh pouches. This is all accessible through a full-length opening, allowing you access to the whole contents of your pack, ideal for when you need to fix a mechanical or find a snack bar. Siskin’s front shove-it pouch provides an easy place to store a wet jacket, but also makes carrying a full-face helmet easy, while the Lid-Lock™ allows a storage place for a traditional bike helmet. For storing your sunglasses or small essentials, there’s a scratch-free pocket inside the front panel, alongside a brightly coloured clip to ensure that you’re never separated from your keys.

  1. Low profile, big volume, comfy.
Brilliant pack for when you don't need the size of the Raptor but still want a stout, secure pack with great cooling. Super comfy, and lots of places to put everything you need.
Can easily fit a hardshell, a few bars and of course 2.5litres of water that's barely noticeable with the stiff back. It can, of course, get heavy with that much water, but tightened correctly you barely notice it on your shoulders as the comfy waist strap takes most of the weight.
If you're looking for an all around pack that you can take on a short ride or an all day epic, I'd definitely recommend the Siskin 12.

  2. So far so good
We definitely "get" the brand as this is our fourth one in 12 months; it joins an Aether AG70, a Hikelite 26 and a little Kobi 20 (daughters school bag) and this carries on the theme - well made, great design, fairly reasonable price. The pack is more generous in size than expected and replaces a rather uncomfortable but hard wearing Camelbak MULE.

I bought this for both cycling and also trail running on recommendation of an Osprey customer service person - it sits very comfortably with nice, venty straps and back system; the useful bladder baffles do help reduce water sloshing when on the move - particularly important when running. I looked at a few other models including the Talos but this seemed to be the right one.
Make sure you fold the bladder seal the correct way when closing it - it took me a few attempts and a lot of frustration to realise this is vital; obvious when you know but I would have appreciated some instructions rather than having to look it up on Youtube! It also doesn't come with the quick release system which is a bit of a shame.
The main zip isn't waterproofed in any way which is a slight disappointment in a pack with no rain cover but it did see off a fairly heavy shower well. The side pockets are a big reason I went for this pack and my iPhone Xr just fit in one - great for running so I can use it to take the odd photo plus snacks.
Overall this is a nice pack, well designed, very comfy and the bladder works well.
