Raptor 14

Innovation sucks. Prepare to go even faster and further with our Raptor hydration backpacks. The Raptor 14 and integrated 3 litre Hydraulics™ reservoir ensure that you can carry all the required gear and liquid to perform your personal best. Keep hydrated on the toughest of rides with easy access to the reservoir via an asymmetric zip for quick and easy refills. The reservoir also incorporates a unique hydrostatic plate that maintains an anatomical shape but also keeps water pressure high for a smooth delivery of water. We also solved the 'wandering hose' issue with competitor designs by placing a magnet in the pack sternum strap and bite valve. This holds the delivery system neatly in place when not needed; yet ensuring quick and easy access when it is. Heading on a long, hot ride? No sweat! The AirScape™ ventilated foam backpanel and harness keep you cool whilst still offering flexibility for movement without restriction. The BioStretch™ harness and hipbelt also offer more ventilation than ever before. Our unique LidLock™ attachment provides a quick and secure attachment point for your helmet, so it remains safe and scratch-free without taking up space inside your pack. All your gear is easily organised and carried within the quick access internal compartments. The base of the pack contains our rapid access ToolWrap™, storing all your bike tools in a single “go-to” place. The front compression pocket stores more gear securely and the stretch pocket complete with drainage hole, provides an ideal space for bulky additional items or can be used to stash wet items on the go. Reflective graphics and LED light attachment help to keep you visible for when the weather turns or night falls!

*Magnets may cause compass deviation. Always keep your compass and magnetic bite-valve separate.

Osprey Raptor 14
Best for mountainbikie and hiking activities..

Superb and well designed product
I recently went on a cycling holiday to Morocco and in preparation, I bought myself an Osprey Raptor 14 rucksack. This is the first Osprey product I have ever bought, and I have been nothing but impressed by its quality and functionality. It is by far the best rucksack I have got and suited the task perfectly!

My highlights include: the magnetic hose clip (genius), the helmet clip, the fact that even with a full water bladder the bag still had plenty of room, the myriad of pockets (which I just kept on finding, and lastly the comfort/fit!

It really is a superb and well designed product and any future rucksack purchases, I will definitely be buying Osprey! Keep up the great work!

Perfect pack for MTB
The Raptor 14 is perfect for most MTB activities with sufficient storage spaces and size for the various bits of kit and clothing food, tools etc. required. Feels perfectly balanced and comfortable on the bike and is tough. (Previous experience with a previous Osprey sack where lightweight mesh outer pocket got shredded on overhanging brambles). My only slight grumble is that the 3L hydration pack with fold and slide sealing device has jammed and no force will allow opening. May have inadvertently sealed incorrectly, but the fact that this can happen out on the trail is something about the design that needs attention. Apart from this the sack is superb.

more photo's would help deciding between Raptor, Zealot & Escapist
I was torn between the Raptor 14, Zealot & Escapist 18.
I'm a big guy and wanted something big enough to take the tools, a jacket, some food and stuff for my dog like a portable bowl and wet cooling vest my camel back mule was just not big enough.
on hind sight i wish i got the Zealot for its bigger tool bag.

this bag has:
1 zip at back of handle pocket for the water reservoir
1 zip at front of handle for main pocket
1 zip in front of main pocket for phone etc
1 sideways zip at very front front for keys, money bits.

Pro's
you don't notice it when on.
tool weight is all the way at the bottom
pockets are mainly very well thought out
hydration reservoir works well
on offer ~£80 online!
feels light when empty

Cons
the straps are too thin,
the hip zippered pockets don't wrap around far enough, i will likely need to take the bag off to get into them.
the tool bag is too thin, i was hoping to get a pump in it.
Feels flimsy and fragile
front most pocket should open from the top not the side.

a few photo's detailing each pocket would have helped
