Exos 38 represents the latest in a significant heritage of ventilated and lightweight backpacking packs. Combining optimum comfort and stability with durable, superlight materials, Exos 38 is the ideal pack for moving fast on multi-day adventures.

The Exos 38 offers all the benefits of a lightweight pack but without the normal compromises, helping you to move fast and light.

Our revolutionary ExoForm™ harness and hipbelt uses a dual mesh construction to deliver a comfortable and stable fit that puts a traditional harness design to shame. The ventilated AirSpeed™ backpanel will keep you cool when the weather turns hot, but still delivers a stable load-carrying platform.

If you want to really hit minimal weight, remove the lid to expose the integrated FlapJacket™, which provides additional protection to the top of the pack. Keeping your contents tight and under control is even easier with the adjustable multi-point compression system on each pack sides.

Every element of the Exos 38 has been laboured over to keep weight low, yet retain the best performance possible. All these features and benefits at only a shade over 1 kg… We should be accused of witchcraft.

  1. Purchased Exos 38 Lrg had to return due to frame creak
Purchased an Exos 38 Lrg for my upcoming Camino de Santiago in blaze black. First off this is the lightest best looking BP I have ever used. The 38L kind of had me worried about space, but I purchased the large version as I am 6.2ft which equals to 41L in total. After loading up 8 kilos of gear and water to test it, all was well for the first 4.5k's after which my pack developed a VERY irritating and loud creak noise coming from the right lower rear frame area. From what I could feel with my hand and hear the lower right and center frame curve was rubbing inside the nylon with every step and no matter what I did (reload the pack, adjust the load tensioners, straps ext.) the creak would always return. So I returned it to the Mc Trek store where I had purchased it and asked for a replacement. Other than that hopefully one in a million defect/problem this pack is really an awesome lightweight BP perfect for my 700km+ trek across N. Spain and I cannot wait to get my replacement (hopefully with no more strange loud frame creaking!) and start training with it again. I gave it 5 stars as I am still very pleased with the design, fit, and weight of this pack.

  2. Nice, but the Colors are really bad...
I like the back but the color combinations are just too ugly. I don’t understand why there are only two versions with these very strong colors schemes. I am hoping for more options in the next version

  3. excellent
I have bought my first Exos 38 two years ago on my camino to Santiago de Compostella as my old backpack was really uncomfortable. I have walked the whole camino with this backpack. It has been perfect - the lightest backpack that I have ever seen, really comfortable, great ventilation system, very functional. Now I bought one for my nephew hoping that he will love trekking.

  4. Good pack, but noticeable flaws
Mostly a great pack - very comfortable with no pain after many days of use. The ventilation system is superb.

    These are areas for improvement:
    1) Lack stability when it's off your back - not easy to stand it up or lean against a wall. Keeps sliding.
    2) The side pocket straps are a bit dysfunctional - they keep snagging on the things put in and out of the pockets. Rethink needed.
    3) The front mesh needs to be stronger - mine has numerous holes after a season of use. Granted, I've been sliding around a bit on screen slopes but nothing too out of the ordinary.

  5. ottima scelta.
