WXS/SI bought a rucksack Tempest 20 WXS/S for my girlfriend as b-day gift and when it came the capacity was 18L. Why this info is not described on this page? It is a little bit to small, she need 20L. Otherwise the rucksack is aweosom, but it would be nice to have all the info described on this page.

Sac à dos idéal !Après avoir essayer et tester une dizaine de sac à dos pour les randonnées ce modèle reste le meilleur ! Malgré un budget important, la qualité et la fonctionnalité est présente pour un sac de ce volume là ! Une petite poche imperméable est prévue, un compartiment pour les poches d’eau idéal et un gain de place ! Une petite poche filet à l’intérieur de la place centrale est inclue et parfaite pour ranger papier, porte feuille et un petit porte clé à été pensé à l’intérieur ! Ce sac est un peu plus lourd que ceux qui n’ont pas de gilet dans le dos néanmoins grâce à lui le confort est optimal ! Ce reste reste tout même léger au vu de son volume. En bref gros coup de cœur pour se sac je le recommande fortement si le budget vous le permet !

New pack let’s see!I really like this pack. It was brought to replace a bergahus freeflow, which was just too large and now heavy for my needs. Bring on the tempest20. It’s light, a perfect comfy fit to my back (5”4 and size 12/14). I tried it on prior to purchase this is important if your investing this amount of money in a day sack! Has the pockets I need... Again checked before I bought it! Yes at the peice it doesn’t have a raincover but you know this before you buy.. I have a universal rain cover I use for most of my other rucksack’s so that wasn’t a problem for me. It’s water bladder compatible again I have others so I will use them then maybe buys ospreys when the need arises. Does what I need it to do and does it well. I don’t feel that I have it on sometimes. It was the best one I tried out for my need out of all the major brands and it’s great!

Happy customerThis is my second Tempest Rucksack and I had no hesitation in deciding to replace with the same again. I had been quite happy with my first one, probably used for about 5 yrs, but it had been well used and I had unknowingly caught the mesh front panel possibly on a low branch and it had a tear. I repaired it myself twice by using an iron-on tape. However the colour (green) had faded a lot and as it was my birthday recently, I decided to replace it with a nice new one. There have been a few noticeable tweaks and improvements. I like the hip belt pockets now in a matching nylon fabric rather than the previous light grey mesh and similarly instead of the light grey base, this is now blue nylon. The light grey got dirty and didn't clean up well. The front mesh pocket is smaller although I don't think this will be a problem. I'm 5'2" and I find the size of the '20' just right for my small frame and the Airscape back ventilation works well. I look forward to using my new Tempest for many more years to come.

Best one-day backpack ever!I’m wearing backpacks since childhood and it’s been a constant problem to find the one that fits my athletic body with big breasts (quite a challenge!). I first tried Tempest 9 for skiing and I loved it. So I decided to get a full one-day backpack version and tested it in backcountry hiking in Utah. Together with my husband having Talon 22 we managed to pack all the gear necessary for overnight camping for 2 people, including the tent, sleeping pads and bags, cooking gear and warm clothes. So we used these backpacks to the maximum. And I have to admit that it absolutely served its purpose as the most comfortable backpack ever. Even my usual back pain was dormant despite intensive hiking with quite heavy backpack. The only downgrade I found is that the upper pocket did not survived carrying a regular pen in it (no sharp endings) - there are two respective holes appeared on both sides where the pen was. So the material was not designed for things like that. That’s a little bit disappointing because people tend to have small items like pen in these pockets. I had also a lens cleaner there and it is in the form of a thick pen. So probably I should place such items in a separate, more durable bag, which will add additional weight and take some space. Otherwise, it is the best backpack I have ever had for almost 40 years. And I plan to go for a bigger version for 3-4 days hike.

Perfect !Suite aux avis mon choix c'est porté sur ce modèle, et après un premier test c'est parfait. Il est très léger, s'adapte très bien à ma morphologie (1m58), tout est très bien pensé ! Et l'espace pour le réservoir c'est un très grand plus. Je suis entièrement satisfaite de mon achat. Il va m'accompagner sur tous les chemins !

Made for WomenWell, I'm small chested but I find the curved shape annoying. I have the Osprey Talon 22 as well which has unisex straps, which I prefer but I bought the Tempest 20 as I wanted a more compact shape and size wise it's better. I'm long in the body and find it less long than the Talon. However, I find that unless I'm wearing several layers, the back pad digs into my back, which is uncomfortable. However perhaps I'm not adjusting it correctly as there are so many straps! It is light compared to other products and I use the bike helmet section to carry items which I can dig out without removing the rucksack! Whereas the Talon has two strap compartments for carrying snacks, the Tempest has only one, not sure why but the side pockets on the waist can carry dried fruits & nuts or energy bars, however don't put your keys in them as they will tear. The old style of Osprey was stronger. All in all though I find Osprey products best for long hikes. They are not waterproof though so a protective cover or a white bin bag inside is useful.
