Frequently Asked Questions

Hi, what is the maximum age or size that a child can go in this?

There is no maximum age rather a maximum weight which is 22KG, this is for the total weight of all of the contents of the pack and the child.

What’s the max size/ weight of a child and the age range for use with the poco child carrier

The maximum weight that we recommend for all the Poco child carriers is 18kg

On the Osprey Poco plus, I cannot work out what the white clips on the drool pad are for? It’s got my baffled.

There are some small clips that are just above the harness of the pack. These are used for securing the childs harness whilst you load the child into the pack.

Hello. What age range child does this work with. We have a two-year old. We’re confident in carrying her weight but we wouldn’t want to buy and her be too large for it.

There is no age limit to the Poco pack rather a weight limit. The weight limit for the Poco packs is 22KG total weight. The total weight is the combined weight of the child and all of the contents of the pack.

Hi, I can’t seem to find any information about the ability to adjust the back to different people (considering short and tall)?

For all the information about pack sizing, please see here: https://www.ospreyeurope.com/gb_en/osprey-technologies/#Sizing-Fitting-Row

Hi! Which model is new Osprey poco ag premium or poco plus?

The Poco AG series is the previous series that has been replaced with the Poco Series.

The Poco AG series had 3 models, Poco AG, Poco AG Plus and Poco AG Premium.

The Poco series only has 2 models, Poco and Poco Plus.

Is there a difference between poco plus and the poco plus ag?

The only differecens are the hipbelt and carry capacity. The Poco has the least carrying space with the Poco plus having larger pockets and fit-on-the-fly hipbelt allowing you to adjust the length of the hipbelt whilst you are wearing the pack.

what is the minimum age of a child for your pocoplus backpack

The minumum age of the Poco is 6 months. However we do not recommend that a child that cannot sit unattended is put into the Poco.

    Comfortable
In general a great bag, but there are some improvements that could be made:
The safety belt is to tight when your kid is wearing winter clothing or a thick jacket. A possibility to adjust size should be made.
Getting the kid in and out of the bag with shoes is difficult. Shoes hang in the openings for the legs.
Center of mass is too far back. It would have been beneficial if the kid could be closer to your back.

    Top quality
The carrier is superb and well worth the price, I agree with Jane about the head support for sleeping however this is only a small issue. I think every other aspect of the bag is superb, its super lightweight has good amount of space for everything you need to carry. I have used the carrier a lot and love it so does my daughter. I wouldn't use any other baby carrier.

    Good but annoying niggles
Positive first: it's clearly comfortable for my little one she loves it but there's no support for her head when she falls asleep.
I like the ease of adjustment.
The pockets, for the stuff u need for a day in the hills, are the best we've seen.
Love the design of the sunshade and rain cover, though I feel the rain cover should cover the lower pocket as well (as it would on a normal hiking bag)

    Negatives:
Biggest, and annoying something that could easily been fixed in manufacturing, there are 6 exposed bolts on the inside of the large pocket that catch on the sunscreen, we didn't know this was the problem and in trying to free it have torn a small hole in the mesh on the very first day of use (angry face), I'm sure I can cover them with duck tape but shouldn't have to when I spent so much!
Second the hip pads really need more padding, my baby is only 12 kg and most of the weight goes into the hips and the pads are just not thick enough to avoid digging in a bit.

Over all good pack and my little one feels secure and is happy in it but a couple of easily rectifiable issues.

Diese Trage hält was Sie verspricht.

    Poco Plus review
We have used Poco Plus with our 7,5 month-old baby, it is simply a great product! She is just the minimum size for it, but she gladly sits in the packpack for 1-2 hours, as she can look around all the time. The only complaint we have is a lack for a pillow for sleeping. Our baby almost always falls asleep in the backbag, and now the Poco does not offer a good way to rest her head forward. So we have used jackets, towels to get her to sleep in a better way. So for the future I suggest Osprey could create a supporting pillow as an accessory, as I think it would be greatly appreciated. Right now we will have to buy a small pillow or sew one ourselves. Thanks for a great product, it has helped us enjoy the outdoors in a totally new way!

    Perfekt

    Good Child Carrier
I have used this carrier for four months and in all weather. Overall it is an excellent design with some good features and would buy it again.

It is very easy to get a child in and out and the stirrups help to keep pressure off their hips.

It is extremely comfortable to wear.

The pockets are all easy to access and there is plenty of storage. There was no need to buy the Poco Premium.

The optional rain cover is easy to fit and easy to fit in a hurry.

The only problem is deploying the sunshade. The issue is the location of the female quick release buckles as they are positioned in the wrong place on the back of the carrier and this makes it far more difficult than is necessary to clip the sunshade in place. With cold hands it is a real pain.

It is an easy problem to solve by 1) moving the female clips further to the "outside" of the carrier, and, 2) make the female clips captive so they can't move when inserting the male clip.

    The best
I walk à lot in moutains. My daughter spends hours in this back she sleeps very well. She is my fourth baby. I used to have a deuter back. No possible comparison. Antihéros world. This babyback is really the best. On point : i losted the little bird!

    Solide Leistung
