Very comfortable and capable backpack. The feeling of carrying it with weight on your back is as if you really carried 3kg less than others, but it is not perfect. Osprey insists on the zig zag side compression straps going over the side pockets and it is very difficult to get the water bottles in place without removing the pack from your back. The hipbelt pockets are too far back. She would advance them a couple of cm or three.

Overall, it is an excellent pack.
I used this pack for a few days treks in mountains. I loaded it from 6 to 10kg.
It has very few cons, and compared to its pros, they are small details. Overall, it is an excellent pack.
Side note: It is my first Osprey pack.

    Pros:
    - The comfort is just amazing. From my point of view this is the main feature of this pack (and maybe for the other packs of this brand too, I wouldn't know).
It adjusts easily and very well, so that the pack is like united to you. Distribution load is very good, you almost do not feel the pack on your shoulders. The back panel is comfortable and the air flow is good.
    - I find the ratios Weight/Quality and Weight/Comfort excellent! There are lighter packs but the comfort this one provides lets you forget about the few hundred grams you could possibly gain with another pack. And the fabric seems very resistant!
    - I've been a bit puzzled by the opening/closing system at first. It consists in pulling the plastic "locker" rather than pushing it (I believe it is standard on Osprey's products). But it is actually a very nice idea, I love it.
    - The straps for the sleeping pad are very useful, and well placed!
    - Big/large belt pockets.

    Cons:
-Lateral pockets are way too small, and therefore almost useless. If the bag is fairly filled at the base, then the lateral pockets do not even have room for a half-liter plastic bottle. The issue is that they are not really "extra" pockets but gain their volume by "digging" the main compartment.
Also, the compression cord is placed above these pockets; it would be much more convenient to make them passing through the pocket as it is the case for other packs. In this way the compression cord would compress the bag without pressing the bottle.
    - No rain cover.
    - Please, why don't you propose also lighter colors? These dark colors tend to make the bag like an oven in hot sunny weathers.
    - The belt pockets are difficult to close with one hand.
    - The elastic used for the Stow-on-the-Go pole storage seems very fragile to me.
    - The front mesh pocket is nice but could be a little bit more stretchy.

    Best Pack Ever
I simply can't find another pack with this many features that only weighs in at 1.1kgs. Despite not being a man I got the Talon rather than the Tempest as I wanted the extra 4 litres and I still find it very, very comfortable. The floating lid is perfect for when you need to pack a bit of extra food, I don't know how I ever lived without the Stow-on-the-Go pole storage feature, the front mesh pocket is the perfect size for my waterproofs, the list of pros on this backpack are endless. I've recently been looking around for an even lighter weight pack but I don't want to give up these features so I guess I'll just take the weight hit. I adore this pack, it holds everything you need for a multi-day hike.

    Good, but could be better.
Overall, a good, well thought out backpack, but:
1 Why not include a raincover with a new bag? I'm sure the marketing department have reasons for it being an extra, but I did assume the pack would come with one, just irritating.
2 stash pocket on the shoulder strap was very handy, why isn't there one on each shoulder strap?
3 zip stash pockets on the hip belt were too much to the rear, not easy opening/closing the zip. (I'm 6' 2" tall)

Excellent lightweight pack for multi-day trips
Lightweight and very well designed. Lots of useful features - the outside mesh pocket is particularly good for storing a waterproof jacket. Feels much bigger than 44l - loads of room.

Best pack I’ve ever owned but..
Just used this to climb Mt Blanc. Extremely good pack for mountaineering. Nicely thought out re pockets and straps and very comfortable. The pack is so light weight which is key at high altitude. However my only slight disappointment is the stretchy mesh outer pocket. I unfortunately used it to carry my crampons. And despite them being in a fairly thick bag they still managed to wear a hole in the mesh. I’ve had to since hand stitch it up. Can Osprey reinforce the mesh pocket or devise another system for carrying crampons? The bag otherwise has everything else covered - places for ice axe, poles, rope, water etc.

    Excellent Pack
Used recently for a 4 day hostel-to-hostel mission in the Lake District, UK. Carrying no sleeping bag, but was carrying camera and gear. Very lightweight pack, comfortable even when loaded up and breathes really well. The Airscape backpanel is great. The seamless wrap around hip belt is great. The shoulder straps are good. The pack is well laid out. The trekking pole storage is good (2 different options). Love the stretchy mesh pockets on the outside - can get water bottles and maps in and out quickly and easily. Like the hipbelt pockets - although they could be a touch larger in my opinion, it is a bit of a squeeze to get my phone in there. Shame it doesn't come with a waterproof cover, had to buy one separately, but not too upset about that. On the same trip my friend was carrying a Kestrel 48 (the older style bright green one). Compared to the kestrel this one is far lighter (and you can really feel the difference). This one is also far more breathable in the straps, back and belt. Other than that they are very similar. I think if your load is likely to be nearer 10kg this is easily the better pack. If your load might be close to or over 20kg maybe the Kestrel is better.

    Perfect
