Due tasche in PowerMesh™ sono situate sui lati, per poter contenere comodamente borracce da 1L di acqua, mentre due ganci laterali nella parte superoire servono da porta bastoncini. La cintura removibile e la fascia sullo sterno aiutano a mantenere lo zaino fermo e la taschina superiore anti-graffio è il posto perfetto dove riporre le chiavi, degli snack o gli occhiali da sole. Hi Osprey and good day. I was wondering what is the purpose of the zipper at the top of the pack (inside, right above the hydration bladder pocket)?
Within all of our packs that have an Airspeed backsystem there is a Zip, this zip is used to add tension to the backsystem and we do not recommend that you open this.

Did a 2 month trip across a few American countriesI took this for a 2 month trip where I changed location every 3 days on average.
*Pros*
* comfortable and light weight
* easy to pack/unpack
* fits under the airplane seat as long as you don't over-pack it
* easily fits in the overhead compartment
* does not make my back as sweaty as other packs
* the back pocket can hold larger items such as a novel book or sandals as long as the straps are pulled very tight (or the items will fall out)
*Cons*
* only has one pocket for valuables and it's an outside pocket. I removed the zipper pull from the pocket to make it more difficult for other's to open
* the side pockets are shallow and a thin mesh, you cannot see this in the. You cannot store items taller than the pocket such as a sodas or water bottles or they fall out however it's great for small snacks
* no airflow between you and the bag, the arch isn't enough for this - I carry it on one shoulder when it starts to get warm
* does not feel like 26L, more like a 20L

Excellent - water goes in the back pocket!Ignore the 1 star reviews- this is a perfect 26l backpack. Buy different water bottles for the sides or use the back pocket.

Nice backpack that could have been greatI bought the Hikelite 26 for a two-day jungle trek in Vietnam. While porters carried a part of our belongings, the Hikelite perfectly fitted a helmet, camera, tripod, jacket, a 2L water bladder and some personal items. The zipper opened far enough to access these items easily. The mesh back panel made the Hikelite very comfortable to wear along the 22 km trail, even in these warm and humid conditions. I also chose this backpack, because it is very light. This was a big plus, since I also used this as a carry-on bag on a domestic flight.
It’s a bit of a hit-and-miss with the Hikelite 26, unfortunately. It is great as a backpack when hiking in nature, but it lacks functionality in urban conditions. As described by others, water bottles tend to fall out of the side pockets easily once your bag isn't filled enough and the compression straps (really placed to low) push out the bottles even further. The bag would have been more functional if it could hold bottles when it would not have been filled to the max.
I also missed an internal pocket to keep, at least, a phone, wallet and passport safe. There’s only a small pocket with zipper on the outside, but when walking around at a busy outdoor market or traveling by crowded public transportation, I don’t like to make it too easy for pickpockets to get to my valuable belongings. Just a mesh inner lining with a zipper in the main compartment would have been perfect.
The Hikelite 26 is a very comfortable backpack to wear, and you’d want to wear it everyday in different conditions. It’s well made, but lacks functionality to make this nice backpack a great versatile backpack, especially with a quite high price of €90.

Très bon produit de randonnée pour la journéeJ'ai marché sur les Chemins de St Jacques de Compostelle pendant 18 jours. Ce sac est parfait pour porter les besoins de la journée. Le plus le couvre-sac inclus. Le moins le manque de profondeur de la poche ouverte sur le devant, pas très fiable.

The packpack I was waiting for !I am pilgrim since ten years and walked with it last autumn from Paris to Santiago de Compostela and this spring from Sevilla to Rocamadour. More or less 4500 kilometers. It's exactly the backpack for ultralight walkers (me: 4,5 kilos including the Hikelite, without water). After these two walks it's almost like new: It just needs to be washed ! I already tried before others Osprey: Exos 45, Talon 33, Manta 28. All with perfect quality but the Hikelite is perfect for ultralight long treks. Which means you can use it eyes shut for a day trip ! I insert a 2 liters water bag in the pocket inside, not bottle in the strech side pockets, without any problem. 6 stars !

hikeilte 26 - my favorite back packgreat back pack for so many opportunities. Whether on journey, short trips by food or with my bike or e-scooter. Every day I have it with me. Almost perfectI think this is an extremely good day bag, and is very light and comfortable to use. I'd have to agree with the side pocket assertion, but went with the water reservoir as a result and have had no issues as a result.

Love it but bottle pockets are uselessI really love my Hikelite, use it every day when I cycle to work. However, like others have said here, the bottle pockets simply suck. They are completely useless, bottles of 0.5 liters or also 1.0 liters ALWAYS fall out. I have not had this experience with other Osprey bags (I had a Sirius, which had much tighter bottle pockets). Real disappointment. I know that a bottle would maybe stay in the pocket if the daypack is packed really full, but probably many people (like me) often don't pack it to the max.
