Happy with the purchase
I use raptor 14 for long distance rollerblading / urban skating. I am not a demanding customer, neither very picky. Never had any similar product before, can't compare.

+ Backpack stays in place all the time, even while performing tricks.
+ Bladder fits well, stays in place, enables 100% or very close to it while skate stunting.
+ Magnet very convenient, stays in place at all times - as above.
+ Good bite valve - holds even if CO2 filled drinks are in bladder, at high pressure after shaking.
+ Big enough to fit in all you need for a nice few-hours activity
+ Presentable
+ Comfortable

- Side pockets slightly too far back. Not really an issue though for me.
- Water pipe discoloured fairly quickly. Again, I couldn't care less.
- Price could be a bit lower.

Overall very happy with the purchase, highly recommended.

Superb and well designed product
I recently went on a cycling holiday to Morocco and in preparation, I bought myself an Osprey Raptor 14 rucksack. This is the first Osprey product I have ever bought, and I have been nothing but impressed by its quality and functionality. It is by far the best rucksack I have got and suited the task perfectly!

My highlights include: the magnetic hose clip (genius), the helmet clip, the fact that even with a full water bladder the bag still had plenty of room, the myriad of pockets (which I just kept on finding, and lastly the comfort/fit!

It really is a superb and well designed product and any future rucksack purchases, I will definitely be buying Osprey! Keep up the great work!

Perfect pack for MTB
The Raptor 14 is perfect for most MTB activities with sufficient storage spaces and size for the various bits of kit and clothing food, tools etc. required. Feels perfectly balanced and comfortable on the bike and is tough. (Previous experience with a previous Osprey sack where lightweight mesh outer pocket got shredded on overhanging brambles). My only slight grumble is that the 3L hydration pack with fold and slide sealing device has jammed and no force will allow opening. May have inadvertently sealed incorrectly, but the fact that this can happen out on the trail is something about the design that needs attention. Apart from this the sack is superb.

Top notch hydration pack for MTB adventures
I really love the Raptor 14. It is a gorgeous mountainbike pocket paradise for tubes, Co2 canisters, gel packs, bars, mini-tools, windjacket, you name it. And topped off with a 3 litre bladder you got a real MTB single trail hydration backpack champion. Compared with my old Mavic crossmax hydration backpack, the Raptor 14 ticks all the boxes. For instance I really like the magnet which holds the hose in place, compared with the Mavic with its 'wandering hose' syndrome. And talking about the storage capacity. It is like having a mini garage on your back. And least but not last the Raptor feels more sturdier than most of its competitor MTB hydration backpacks. I think a legend has been born.

more photo's would help deciding between Raptor, Zealot & Escapist
I was torn between the Raptor 14, Zealot & Escapist 18.
I'm a big guy and wanted something big enough to take the tools, a jacket, some food and stuff for my dog like a portable bowl and wet cooling vest my camel back mule was just not big enough.
on hind sight i wish i got the Zealot for its bigger tool bag.

this bag has:
1 zip at back of handle pocket for the water reservoir
1 zip at front of handle for main pocket
1 zip in front of main pocket for phone etc
1 sideways zip at very front front for keys, money bits.

Pro's
you don't notice it when on.
tool weight is all the way at the bottom
pockets are mainly very well thought out
hydration reservoir works well
on offer ~£80 online!
feels light when empty

Cons
the straps are too thin,
the hip zippered pockets don't wrap around far enough, i will likely need to take the bag off to get into them.
the tool bag is too thin, i was hoping to get a pump in it.
Feels flimsy and fragile
front most pocket should open from the top not the side.

a few photo's detailing each pocket would have helped

Größe
Also ich bin 165 groß und der Rucksack hat viel zu lange Zipper. Ich mag den Rucksack wirklich und er ist sehr praktisch.
Ich werde mir die Zippe kürzen lassen.

Osprey Raptor 14
The pack is brilliant. All my gear, food, tools, tubes etc. fit easily into the pack and its internal organisation cannot be bettered. There are numerous pockets and once you get used to where you keep things, then everything is to hand and in its proper place. And on top of all that there is a 3 litre bladder - the best on the market - and a natty little helmet retention device. The chest harness doubles as a magnetic tube holder so your water pipe is always to hand. The overall fit and adjustability is great. I love it would recommend it to anyone looking for a well made, quality product that will have all the features you'll need and none that you don't!

I chose the size 14 to get plenty of room for longer rides burt smaller versions are available for those of you who travel lighter.

Superior Quality
Using this pack for commutes, cycling 70K almost daily, to work and back for about a year now. During this year i fell in love with this pack, very comfortable, sturdy and looks good too. Surprisingly can fit a lot of stuff in it regardless its smaller size (14L). I own Escapist 30 which i thought i would be using for daily commutes and Raptor only for long rides, but i haven't used Escapist ever since i've gotten Raptor. It fits my (huge) lunch box, fruit, keys, wallet, documents, rain coat and even (1L) milk pack. It doesn't all fit into main compartment, but nevertheless.
And you can wash in the washing machine!!
Recommended!
Very few negatives, not worth of giving less then 5 stars.

Ben fatto e versatile.

Excellent for MTB'ing and XC-skiing
I use this pack all year round for MTB'ing and cross-country skiing. Very comfortable with many useful features that do exactly what they are meant to do! The strap buckle with magnet actually holds the bite valve in place even in the toughest terrain and the ToolWrap makes all the tools easily accessible. Good and smart pockets and sufficient space to fit change of clothes, spare tubes and a lunch pack for a day trip. Easy to wash off any mud with a wet sponge after use. The 3L (!) reservoir distributes the weight nice and evenly on the back making it light and easy to carry. At subzero temperatures after drinking through the valve, blowing the water left in the hose back into the reservoir keeps it from freezing. The pack was perfect to use in the Norwegian cross-country ski marathon "Birken". Was extremely pleased with Osprey's service when I was sent a replacement buckle after I had an accident during which I broke one. Love this pack!!

Great Pack
Had this bought for me by Mother-in-law for Xmas - she can defiantly come again!

I use this for mountain biking.

Great pack, lots pockets and compartment so easy to organise logically. Tool roll is a great idea and bladder design is fantastic.

No matter how much I load this pack up with and no matter how heavy it gets it is always so comfortable that I don't even know I am wearing most of the time, which for me is the ultimate test.

Raptor 14 Mens review
I did quite a bit of research prior to purchasing this bag and it does everything exceptionally well. It's light, strong, has multiple well thought out pockets and is made of high quality well engineered materials. It's big enough to store plenty of items for a day out.
It's the little things that make it stand out like tabs on the straps to pull them in making clipping of the clasps together very easy and the quick access waist pockets for a choccy bar or coins instead of having to take the bag off first.
The water bladder is easy to fill and the drinking tube is brilliant the way the magnet holds it in place on your chest ready for use.
I highly recommend this product.
