The Outdoors Beckons

Dear Friends,

There’s no doubt about it, what we are facing is unprecedented. Our world has changed. It is different. This is open-ended and will affect every individual and every business on the planet. It is a crisis of global magnitude. Business is NOT as usual.

Whilst we don’t have the answers, we at Osprey can show empathy to what everyone is going through, with our collective sympathy and ingenuity, and by inspiring others to achieve more. These few guiding principles will serve us well through these darkest of waters. We were forged in the wild and miss our natural world dearly but it’s so important right now for us all to genuinely care for each other and this situation we are all going through. This is an opportunity for everyone to pull together, now more than ever, because we’re all feeling the same way. We won’t speculate about when the end to this might be, but we must prepare for the transition thoughtfully and proactively. We need to think about what our new world might look like and row towards that shore each day. We will roam free once AGAIN.

Until then, we ask you to consume smarter, buy better, and where possible, buy local. Not necessarily from us, but from any retailer you believe in. We, like all businesses, have to keep the wheels rolling so our team, family, friends and neighbours can continue to earn a living. This is an uncomfortable truth and a harsh reality but we all need to be ready for what’s next.

This world has been through crises before and collectively we will get through this one too. Adventure still awaits. So in the meantime – stay safe, stay local and most importantly, think of others first.
