Former Olympic, European and Commonwealth champion Victoria Pendleton CBE, is a British jockey and former track cyclist. With two Olympic gold medals and one silver, Victoria is one of Great Britain’s most successful female Olympians.
Career Highlights
- Won her first major gold medal at the 2005 UCI Track Cycling World Championships; making her the third British woman to become a cycling world champion in 40 years
- At the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Pendleton won gold in the Women’s Individual Sprint
- Awarded MBE in the 2009 New Year’s Honours List
- Awarded CBE in the 2013 New Year’s Honours for services to cycling
- Made her first competitive horse racing debut in August 2015; going on to win her first race on 2 March 2016
