"Fantastic pack -- and fantastic Osprey service" (Posted on 02/08/2016)

Don

I've owned my Aether 70 for about three years for three- to five-day walks in the UK. It has to be one of the best-designed and constructed packs around. I find everything is easy to get to (once I've done my repeated thinking...) with plenty of access points. And -- unlike some reviewers -- I find the pockets more than enough, with two on the belt and two at the base of the pack that you can access while wearing it. It's clever and flexible design: and as for the main compartment, with access to the adjustable lower compartment, a J-zip and top access I'm happy! The fitting adjustments mean it's comfortable for all-day treks, despite the overloaded weight I always seem to stick in it.

A fantastic product -- and now I know the service is great, too. One of my buckles broke and Osprey replaced it free of charge. Brilliant pack and brilliant service.

"Excellent l'Osprey Aether 70" (Posted on 08/07/2016)

marc

Bravo Osprey !

"Excellent bag for trekking" (Posted on 28/03/2016)

Tom

Although called the Aether 70 the bag is actually 73L capacity - which is pretty huge, big enough for multi week treks. Carries a heavy load very well, well padded and good use of materials throughout. I completely disagree with the reviewer who complained of lack of pockets. There's hip belt pockets and nets on each side, perfect for stuff you might want to access whilst hiking - like food, a compass, a map, water bottles etc. There's also a net on the rear of the pack and a large pocket on the top which are perfect for stuffing things into without having to open up the pack. Inside the the bag is just a big tube basically - which is ideal because you really just want to pack all your stuff inside a thick bin liner and just slide it in - this bag allows you to do that. No need for the bag to be further subdivided into different pockets and compartments. The weight of the bag is quite low despite the high number of features, which is excellent. Attachments for hiking poles, ice axes and h20 bladder are useful, even if they're not something all users will make use of. Overall a great bag if you're in the market for a bag of this size.

"Comfy pack, great waranty" (Posted on 25/02/2016)

Viktor

I have this pack for more then three years and it is very comfy to wear. One of the straps was starting to tear and osprey fixed it quickly free of charge even though it was not in waranty anymore! I only had to pay for posting the backpack to Osprey... So I can gladly recommend it!

"Highly recommend " (Posted on 18/01/2016)

I brought this recently for a trip to Colombia and it has been excellent. Fit for purpose, comfortable and very durable. I have come home and registered the bag, I read the product description again too and saw it had a J-zip front panel access. When I was away I thought this was the one thing the bag was lacking but it turns out it already had it!

"Great pack and super comfy" (Posted on 04/01/2016)

martcole

Bought this to do the Camino de Santiago in Oct 2015 and with extra space for ventures beyond later.

Broke my back a couple years back and needed more weight on my waist and this had the best strap for pulling up tight that I could find. Never a problem, always comfy.

Only argument against it is common to some other bags in that when you lay it down the access to the top bag is on the floor and everything falls out, better that access was put on the back of the bag so access is the same as the rest of the bag.

Several straps and clips that I have no idea what to do with too!

Loved it.

"Que dire." (Posted on 09/11/2015)

"Briljant backpack" (Posted on 05/11/2015)

Using the Aether 70L for some years now during my backpack trips in Southeast Asia. I love the flexibility and comfort of it. Extra plus is the build-in raincover which can be quite handy during rain season :-)

"Fantastico" (Posted on 02/04/2015)

Raccomandato.

"Ottimo zaino, nessun problema" (Posted on 18/01/2015)

Francesco

"excelente mochila" (Posted on 15/01/2015)

Horitzo

"Great backpack + awesome customer service" (Posted on 06/08/2014)

Ville

I bought my Aether 70 last autum and I've never owned a better backpack than this one. Tons of space, quality materials, well thought compression strap placement and just perfect fit for my back. Addition to all that, during last winter I succeeded to break the hip belt buckle by trying to squeeze it in wrong angle, but after the trip I just sent and email to Osprey and I got a replacement buckle sent to me quickly and free of charge.

"Excellent buy" (Posted on 05/08/2014)

Kevin

I have just replaced my 80 l rucksack with a Aether which is 20 years old, It was state of the art at the time. The Aether fits better and the hip belt is more comfortable. It is a well thought out product which works well.
